Signed Book Hop Starts Soon…And I’m Giving Away a NYT Bestselling Autographed Book!

signed book hopI am so excited about this blog hop! I’ve done a lot of hops in the past (under my other pen name), but when I started looking at ones to participate in for my New Adult/YA work, I jumped on the chance to participate in this one! I have several different autographed books, but when I had to decide which one I wanted to put in this contest, it really was no contest—pardon the bad pun. I have in my possession an autographed copy of SHIVER by Maggie Stiefvater! Yep, one person will win this book along with an autographed copy of GODDESS LEGACY by me, M.W. Muse. So yes, I am giving away TWO signed books to ONE winner. Let the fun times begin!

photo(6)Before I started publishing in this genre, I published for years in adult romance… but this particular series wouldn’t leave me alone, so I forged ahead to create the outlet for it. But even with writing deadlines looming, I always make time to read. Scratch that… I always have to force myself to put down whatever book I’m reading to write. Since I read a lot, I tend to read a variety of genres—usually with some romantic elements. But with so much out there to choose from, sometimes it’s hard to decide which book I’m going to read next. I can easily get lost down the rabbit whole, clicking on links on Amazon to see what other’s have purchased and what they’ve said about said book that sometimes I forget the original book I started looking at to begin with. The decision can be tough. It sucks to make a decision on a book and it didn’t live up to your expections…but it’s totally awesome when it does.

So that’s what I’d like to talk about here. How do you decide what books you buy? Do you jump on Goodreads and see what other people are reading? Do you follow blogs? Do you belong to book clubs? Do you click for hours until something grabs your attention? Or walk into a physical bookstore and see what’s on the end caps? I’ve done all those and more. I really have no method. But what about you? One commenter will win these awesome autographed books! Check out the Rafflecapter form for more chances to enter. http://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/a5eb530/

Don’t forget to hop around and see what the other people are giving away! You can either click on the Blog Hop Button at the top or go to one of the links below. It’s time to have some fun and win stuff!

Mostly, I choose books by looking on Amazon, reviews in blogs, references from friends, spotting them on the shelf in a store.

  12. My comment is for the Mythology Blog hop…My favorite goddess is Athena; she’s strong, intelligent, level-headed, and not a set of balls to be found. I’ve even got a parakeet named for her. 🙂 michelle_willms@yahoo.com.
